March 17, 5:00pm - Irish Ceili Fundraiser - The Inn at Kelly's Ford - The celebration begins in the Indoor Arena when Civil War re-enactors fire the cannon to commemorate the Battle of Kelly's Ford. A pictorial commentary of The Battle of Kelly's Ford will be presented in Ripley Hall. The silent auction also begins and the cash bar opens. Dinner begins at 6:30, and the silent auction closes. The live auction begins at 7:30, and dancing, with music provided by The Morrison Brothers adn Timmy "The Brit" McCarthy begins at 8:00.

April 18, 7pm - Lottery Lunacy Fundraiser - Daniel Technology Center - It's the opposite of a traditional raffle. Everyone at the event has a number, and every number is drawn. The longer you manage to stay on teh board, the bigger the prize will be! The final number drawn for the night is the grand prize winner! Second Chance prizes are awarded throughout the evening. And in the tradition of "Let's Make a Deal," be sure to bring crazy items with you for more chances to win. Then, be prepared to answer trivia questions for even more chances! Mexican buffet dinner and cash bar begin at 6:00pm.
May 2, 5:30pm - HaegumPlus - Culpeper County Library - HaegumPlus is a hybrid fusion music group that performs with both traditional Korean and western instruments. Their signature style fuses Korean traditional music with non-traditional genres like classical and jazz to create sophisticated, distinictive sounds with special appeal for universal audiences. The group's leader, Ms. Eun Il Kang, is known to be the pioneer of "cross-over music" with the haegum, a traditional Korean stringed instrument resembling a fiddle. Kang has performed with such artists as Bobby McFerrin, Luciano Pavarotti, and the Yoshida brothers.

From 12:30 until 4:00, Board members and volunteers will be available to answer your questions about the past, present, and future of the State Theatre. Plus those who tour the theatre will receive a free Tropical Smoothie sample. As you enjoy the festivities in downtown Culpeper, be sure to stop by!

Nov. 14 - Come join us on November 14 at the Inn at Kelly's Ford when the State Theatre Foundation and Mulberry Court Condominiums present ALECIA NUGENT for an evening of BLUEGRASS AND BARBEQUE! Dark Hollow Bluegrass Band will open for Alecia Nugent. Ticket price includes a barbeque dinner prior to the concert. Tickets are availalbe at the door, $50 each.
